Heroic Doses posits the central concept of cultivating a novel and life altering experience by forcing yourself to venture passed the cusp of a presumably uncrossable boundary; the point of no return. It detests the dabbling and luke warm “one toe in” approach to life and would rather have it’s audience wide eyed and white knuckling through fear inducing decisions as they soar out toward the frayed ends of sanity. The ghostly ambiance of this psychedelic spirit world serves as a threshold for our own personal evolution; a precipice that, once passed, will lead to a deeper and new found understanding of the self and its interplay with the known world. Guided by Terrance McKenna’s heroic theory (5 grams on an empty stomach in silent darkness), this hypnotic earworm use a sinister siren-esque song to ushers the listener down hallways they’ve never been to doors they’ve never opened.
lyrics
Cambatta:
Define man in two bars I’m Streisand
Stride sand as I ran on dry land
Psilocybe strand in my hand in 5 grams
Trip harder than drawing niggas with white crayons
Light glance in eye lens and fry ants
Divine plants
Strange fruit on high branch
Mind trance
All I took was one tab
I battled with Cthulhu in a love craft
Monsoon God’s pool with one splash
My gospel’s a ghost spell my tongue cast
I got spools, my word threading is unwrapped
Is this a rectum or a drug stash
Grim reaper wears a Trump mask
With a signature Hitler mustache
I collect pineals from dead people
Squeeze liquid secretion into a vets needle
My operating room is a wet easel
Remove your intestines and then feed u
I’m just living out my father’s demons
Smoke weed out of crack pipes for nostalgic reason
When snore it’s my karma screaming
My bedroom is a mausoleum
All my doses are heroic
Stoic
In a psychotropic gnosis
Rowing
Through an ocean of emotion
Toking (Tolkien)
Drug ring stolen I’m a golem
Except my body’s so huge and large
I could stick my feet through the sun roof of cars
And rock em as electrical roller blades
As I skate around the boulevard moving far
My favorite color’s baby brown
I’m the light that created sound... Batta
Tabinstereo:
my inner dialogue is speaking to a higher god
i acquire calm
find a diatribe and ride along
-shit is so vital
i invite u all
try it on
see the guidelines that they write are wrong
-this hypnotic zone
got my scottish bones in a pot of gold
thinking how we never been quite alone
-see whats growing in my bio dome
don’t try at home
bed of shrooms
that i lie upon
-speak with a quiet charm
-channel my inner vagabond
listening to chaka khan
i am ready for the
rocket launch
buddy
put my vodka on ice
forced hellos
faux halo
un stable
-drink em under the end table
old soul
soft shoe
bojangles
dont fake it
mark david
shot fatal
its not grey goose
its all Tito's
its straight evil
its all legal
me and my heroic dose
show n tell so and so
jumpin in with both feet
ready for the overload
turn a tab into a whole sheet
i am so chic
-shall i proceed?
turn ur neurosis into goat cheese
tell me what ya know
when ya don’t read
Taboo:
I like my drinks cold and my women hardly dressed
only thing u smell in the air is that Marley scent
I don't even know where the party went
probably cause I burnt this half to my face like Harvey dent
I got so high I've forgotten why got a vibe
To take a Cosmic ride through ya subconscious mind
U can find God inside what Batta scribes
and Tab is not my people he's my Alter ego personified
And We vibin pahtnah
trying changa and Ayahuasca
sitting sauna style inside the prahna
I'm ya doctor prescribing Ganga that’s why the inside of my mind looks like the cockpit of a flying saucer
But it’s a short sale if judging by the curb appeal
I'm down to work and build
but everyone deserves to chill can't escape the matrix and it's hurting still
so the spirit of proof said mix the red and the blue and take some purple pills
still im vibing psilocybin
let the truth fill ya iris chill in silence and feel the vibrance ... inner mount Zion I have the will to climb it
Even when life throws them cold shoulders that could chill the climate
So Why the fuck would I be modest now
The most high we won't find a common ground
Imma king but I ain't got a crown Valhalla bound
And trust me I'm just as obnoxious when you're not around

Christ this shit is so good. can't really identify with his take on gays running the media or the Jesuit stuff, but all that is irrelevant, because he made a reference to Dune, Talking Heads, and a bunch of other cool stuff. The flow is very fluid which pairs well with the beat. compared to mainstream artists, his lyricism is especially clever. I'm going to look out for a T-shirt with the Vrilmatic album art on it because it looks fucking awesome. Worm
